Welcome to Pontoon Plans,

My name is J.D. and I’ve been a DIY boat builder, for over 20 years.  I started pontoonplans.net as a free resource for others who are interested in learning how to build a pontoon, and save thousands of dollars over the cost of buying a pontoon boat.

Here on my website, you’ll find a number of resources to help you learn more about building your own pontoons, including our Large and Small Pontoon Plans, how you can save money on materials, drawing out your patterns, and much more.

I’ve put together some information that will help you get started quickly building your own pontoons.  Our plans are designed to teach you all of the essentials of laying out, cutting and assembling the parts, even if you don’t have any prior boat building experience.
